Rezplus Dashboard

As the sole UX Designer for the RezPlus full-service reservation system, Jennifer led the end-to-end research and design process - conducting research, leading team brainstorms, designing the information architecture, and crafting marketing material.

Their final product included a wizard for reservations, a website builder and email marketing tool, menu builder, table planning and a hostess dashboard. They designed a user-friendly dashboard that works quickly and efficiently for a busy restaurant either on their laptop or an ipad.

Design

Problem

Though the dashboard was full of product offerings, users were finding it difficult to use. They needed a simple design with clear categories. Restauranteurs wanted to update their own website to add specials, photos and add new menus. They also wanted to be able to use their guest list to send out gift certificates and newsletters. No automatic way to start a website.

Design Challenge & Goals

Restauranteurs are too busy to search around for the tools they need. We needed to understand what they need to use, and how frequently they use these tools.

We needed to provide an easy to use website builder, that allowed these users to quickly update their website with new menus, specials and photos.

​

We needed a quick flow to allow users to quickly set up their profile and start creating their website.

My Role & Process

  • Preformed a UI audit of the current application;

  • Researched the competition, talked to customers and stakeholders to understand their workflow and created user flows to test;

  • Created wireframes, mockups and design options;

  • Defined the final theme, specs and guidelines for implementation;

  • Worked with team to test and evaluate the final product with end users;
